Happy New Year's Eve baby

This past weekend was my birthday. Sometimes I forget how old I am, but I swear I'm not even that old! I just want to be forever 21 and have older people envy me for my youth and the 'carefree' days.

So my best friends from norcal came down to celebrate with me and one of them I haven't seen since late July. What the, that's all from Insanity? Girl you're too tiny now.
He swears I used to be a whale -___-.. but he's really being dramatic Haha because I still fit my clothes (tops s/m and bottoms 0-5) just a little less filled, however.. both a good and bad thing.

Here's the most recent picture of me from my birthday; it doesn't showcase my figure too much but that's the best I have of that night. I've actually gained 5 pounds from the lowest I've surprisingly gotten. Let it be muscles? These days I don't even look at the scale, because the best measurement of your health is your mentality and how you feel in the morning. I also get a little discouraged seeing the scale go up or stay at a plateau even though it really should be a good sign because I am not gaining fat, but gaining strength. However, I believe we're ingrained with the nonsense that bigger numbers on the scale is never good (girls' perspective right?). One day at a time, ladies. Having a good night's rest after a good, decent workout almost always guarantees for a refreshing wake up and that is all that really matters: To be happy and ready for the day.
