What's in my GYM bag?

Image
Okk... so, I've decided to kind of come out of my comfort zone! Currently, I've been interested in vlogging, but more like documenting my random, weekend adventures and outings. And since I just recently got a GoPro, I've been itching to test it out and also film/edit and try to squeeze some creative juices out of me. However, I haven't done anything exciting as of yet . LOL. anyways, for shits and giggles I filmed a Tag: what's in my GYM bag. Gawdd, I get camera shy and now I know some of my mannerisms that I can improve on. I also think with practice, I can become much better at articulating my words and also leveling my speaking skills more with my writing skills (I consider my writing skills more advanced than my conversing skills - Awkward introvert level ). Well, I am going to tie in my vlog with my blog, so here's a list of what I talked about!: hair ties, hair pin alcohol swabs to clean phone afterwards Jarv NMotion Sport Wireless Bluetooth 4....

Summer body: Week 5 - YOGA

Image
This week is definitely one of progress, or one that is more noticeable to me. It's very motivating! SO if you feel uninspired or sad that all your hard work isn't showing, just push through and continue on - working out consistently and being one step closer each time is better than quitting & regressing back to old habits. I truly think 3.5-4 weeks is the magic number . Tumblr agrees too (I used to think this was so cliche, but all cliches have a truth right) I actually didn't know about the 12 weeks part, but now that I think about, that's probably why Tony Horton's P90x is 90 days and Kayla Itsine's Bikini Body Guide is 12 weeks. It makes sense! Progress : Getting stronger by lifting is tying in extremely well with yoga practice! Forearm handstand and crow pose is coming through :) (Ludacris - Good Lovin) This is the first time I lifted my legs up against the wall. It has been one of my yoga insecurities and fear, but I was finally able to g...

90% vs 10%

Image
This is my current progress. I've been lifting, doing fasted cardio, and also suana-ing. But after my lift sessions I would eat such things as poptarts, chips, donuts, pizzas, ice cream bars... I'm pretty sure this is why my progress isn't as effective as it should be. I've decided to quit my literal post workout blackhole meals for the next 1.5 weeks cause next weekend is fricking Outside Lands! Ahhh :D Oh and my friend told me since 90% of diet is how we get abs.. in a way that means 10% can be cheat meals. 10% of 30 days is only 3 days of cheat meals a month. Doesn't this logic make sense? hahha it opened up my mind! Anyways. Push strong dears! There's a way when there's a will. And I want to see what I can achieve .

craving fajitas

What do you do for fun?

Image
I wish I could update every day. It's kind of hard balancing summer classes, workouts, work, sleep, and a social life. Lately when I met a couple of new people they have asked me what I do for fun.. I was taken aback by the question cause I haven't really asked myself that and I kind of hesitantly said "well.. I'm currently just studying and working out." (I think if I had awesome muscles, this answer would've been said with more pride) Later I thought about that answer and thought man, I could've hyped it up more. My weekdays are when I make time for myself and give 100% to school and workouts/health. I prepare and eat low carb all week (except for my post workout blackhole meal), I go to lecture/lab, and I go to the gym for weight sessions. I should be more proud. These are my current goals, and I am working on them. However I think people who don't workout don't understand how much time and willpower working out demands. Maybe they think I...

PUSH chest press 3x12 squats 5 sets leg press 3x10 tri pressdown 3x10 shoulder press/y-press 3x10 Yesterday I kind of lagged so I did the workout fasted. I'm personally used to fasting till 1-2 pm so I was still energetic. I did eat a handful of peanuts just in case - don't want to be lightheaded and faint at the gym! After the workout, I realized I like to do cardio fasted but strength training should be done after a solid meal. I didn't feel like my performance was weaker or that I burnt out quicker, but preferably I won't be weightlifting on an empty stomach again. I thought it was so funny that my sweat marks made this face -___-. I call it the "weh" face But this is what I got to eat post workout. Chirashi bowl - some carbs and protein :)

I'm trying to get abs in a month. Ok more like 3 weeks

Image
It's kind of disheartening that I've been working out all year for a while; ok there have been lapses of weekday workouts and also falling asleep after dinner... And you know how they say, summer bodies are made in winter... Well, I'm still trying to get to that summer body. However, I have to admit it has been a learning experience and I feel like I am one step closer to understanding myself and my body and figuring out what works and what isn't as effective. I know the best way for me to get skinny and lose fat is an intense amount of cardio. Think of doing Insanity diligently or forcing myself to go through an hour of cycling class. My body needs to be shocked, needs to cry, and needs to sweat.   In these pictures I looked like a typical cardio bunny .  But I didn't have any definition. My stomach was still jiggly looking whereas the rest of my body didn't have much fat (of course I lost some of my boobs too). Summer-Fall 2013 I was the skinni...
