7/12 til Hawaii - sun, mon, tues

Ok! so I've been pretty stellar about my diet . The only thing processed I've been consuming is wheat bread, oatmeal, and protein powder. And absolutely no junk food eaten so far! haha I think when I was trying out IIFYM , I gave myself the liberty to eat some junk food saying, ahh all carbs are the same. But I think my body does appreciate more natural carbs from fruits instead. Regardless, it does make me feel fresher and filled more with vitality when I eat sources straight from the earth. Also! My current morning caffeine fix is the cold brewed black coffee!  I'm liking the convenience of not having to wait for water to boil, and the sweeter notes of the coffee as well. :)) Plus it's quite nice to sip on a cold coffee on a sunny day Sun Ended May with an awesome Squat Sunday and Legs session. Mon Noticed the gym is most definitely getting busier as the days are getting longer and summer is upon us. Had a pretty decent back workout after work, but was too l...

Week 8 - Wednesday

Tuesday's food journal So, my newest obsession may be   microwaved cheese crackers  :D They're made so magically and easily! I just get shredded cheese and put a thin layer onto a microwave-safe plate. Then heat it up in the microwave for about 60 seconds. It's ok when the cheese is bubbling. I let it cool down for a little so it'll be slightly crunchy when I nom into it :) Oh, today I woke up quite late and didn't workout.. BUT I was finally able to get the 2 year 24 hr fitness gym membership  from Costco. I SO missed going to the gym and squatting and lifting and getting butt gains. Also, haha today is the start of the 3rd day of not washing hair. Incredible! I am someone who absolutely loves to shower and gets grumpy when I feel oily and icky. I also workout pretty much everyday. Sometimes even twice a day. Therefore, I used to shower daily. However, during the colder periods of this winter, I noticed my hair and skin were probably being overly washed ...

90% vs 10%

This is my current progress. I've been lifting, doing fasted cardio, and also suana-ing. But after my lift sessions I would eat such things as poptarts, chips, donuts, pizzas, ice cream bars... I'm pretty sure this is why my progress isn't as effective as it should be. I've decided to quit my literal post workout blackhole meals for the next 1.5 weeks cause next weekend is fricking Outside Lands! Ahhh :D Oh and my friend told me since 90% of diet is how we get abs.. in a way that means 10% can be cheat meals. 10% of 30 days is only 3 days of cheat meals a month. Doesn't this logic make sense? hahha it opened up my mind! Anyways. Push strong dears! There's a way when there's a will. And I want to see what I can achieve .

Feeling Green

Lately, I've been quite down on myself. Feeling blue you call it. I've tried to come here many times to start a post, however I didn't feel like writing anything or putting on a front. I felt so uninspired and just so.. lost. But sometimes you have to fake it to make it. My mom also told me to just smile in the mirror and tell myself that I'm lucky, that things work out. There's the well known psychology fact that smiling, even when forced, can lift up your mood. I've been smiling in the mirror, breathing while smiling while working out (maybe creepy..), and also watching funny shows and trying to literally LOL Yea it does help. Temporarily. But I still need to figure out my life. Guess I'll do it while smiling at least.   Watermelon + Kale + H20 smoothie. Yes I know, it kind of looks like I bought the drink from Starbucks. But no I didn't. I just like to reuse clear drink containers temporarily since you can see how awesome your smoothie is an...

Cauliflower 'pizza - flat bread' crust

Image
I've been meaning to try out this recipe for several weeks now and I finally tried it out today. Was prolonging this recipe because I knew it would take me a long time to prep and clean up after. I was right. And it wasn't as successful as I optimistically wished it to be. But see the good in everything right? (still optimistic!) It was a nice.. cauliflower pancake-omelet-like result. Here's how I went about it with some commentary. So.. ironically I was too lazy to dig out the processor and put the parts together, therefore I just diced the cauliflower with a knife to "rice" it. It was kind of therapeutic in a way just dicing along. steamed the riced cauliflower in microwave for 7 minutes didn't like the idea of wringing out water with towel so put the steamed cauliflower in mesh strainer and pressed on cauliflower to strain most of the water out. Left it in strainer and occasionally tossed/stirred cauliflower throughout the day. (I would do what...
