Break the Block - Thank you Tahoe House

Image
I suppose the writer's block has finally been chipped down just a little. I'm ready to be inspired and motivated again. Maybe also eager to revolutionalize myself and continue to make a path for where I want to see myself in the future. It's a path for one, and I am embracing this independence of going with the flow revolving only around me and wherever I may want to explore. Most importantly, it's me truly finding my own happiness and self-confidence once again while strengthening my bonds with my family & close friends. I am loving 2017 so much. Before.. this blog was a timid, inhibited, superficial journaling of my workouts, diets, and adventures. I think I still may be timid and superficial (as in I may not scratch beyond the surface), but this time I will try to leave more lasting impressions and thoughts. The past couple of years I have been so absorbed in one area of my goals -mainly trying to get abs & squat booty while finishing up most of my schoolin...

Norcal visit & adventures

Image
A couple weeks ago I was able to take a break from work and spend a whole week in Norcal with my manfriend and see all my friends as well! He had work throughout the week but we were able to do normal couple things afterwards like binge-watch tv ( Better Call Saul!) and movies and pig out together. Manfriend always wants to watch scary movies with me, but I absolutely hate scary, so we compromised with the Purge movies. We also got to be a 'buff couple" - well he's buff, I'm really not - and worked out at the gym. However, we also ate so well throughout my visit <3. My heart is in my stomach  hahah Once the weekend commenced we were able to hike, dance with friends, and adventure around San Francisco! In my noobie youtube video, you'll see the Hidden Garden Steps, boba cravings and jenga, and Sunday Funday  housewarming activities. I can't really tell you which day was my favorite. I had so much fun spending time with my loved ones while seeing beautifu...

1/12 til Hawaii - Monday

Image
Week 1 - Monday I've noticed that most of my titles on this blog are some sort of a countdown. hahha it seems like I live my life in countdowns, can't really blame an NYE baby for that ;D! This time I'm giving myself 12 weeks, so they will be in fraction form. Since it's week 1 right now, it's 1/12! I earnestly did each workout of the Monday Legs and Cardio . For each circuit of 7 minutes, I was able to do it 2x.. too fast too serious.  Working out in the morning allows me to be more proactive and productive throughout the day. I already know about myself that I get quite exhausted, drained by the end of day. Also, I have this personal rule to not intake any caffeine after 12pm. So I'm trying to make my cardio, which is also fasted, in the morning since motivation for cardio is the hardest for me to bring about. Monday evening, I got off work a little earlier than usual. Originally planned to squat but I forgot my workout pants. I figured it would be qui...

Spontaneous Potato Chip Rock!

Image
I've been wanting to hike to the Potato chip rock for a long time. But it is a bit inland of San Diego and whenever we went to SD, we had other plans. So this was a spur of the moment thing when my friend invited us the night before! Sometimes I like to plan out fun things in advance, but other times, spontaneity is great too. I would've been at home happily Netflixing if I didn't go hike :P (it was a busy week with a little bit of stress!) Ok, the hike was at a steep incline for the whole 4 miles uphill. Wow, I was sweating the entire time and I was also out of breath the majority of the time. Hobbes  the corgi was such a champ however; he was being alpha dog and quite aggressively finished the hike. I did not know a corgi could waddle so passionately ahaha. We finally reached the potato chip and saw a line of people waiting to take a picture on it. No one ever tells you that it's quite scary to jump into a crevice and climb up to the rock. AND that the drop from...

Was I missed?

I didn't have internet for the past week because we thought our router was broken. Turns out actually there was a problem with the modem and the satellite. A technician finally came and made everything back to normal and I'm a happy clam. Glad I no longer have to look at my phone screen for internet stuffz. Seriously #firstworldproblems though not having internet and foxfi only alloting you 5 minutes of wifi :( My friends make fun of me for being kind of homebody, introvert-like, too lazy to go out girl. But I finally came out of my introvert cave and the past week has been quite filled. June 12 & 13: brother's birthday celebration He adamently chose Din Tai Fung for his birthday dinner, so my family and I went there. MMM! the soupy wontons were my favorite. I do not understand however how Chinese people are skinny! Everything is so sodium-fied, doughy, and carby. Must be all the jasmine and green tea they drink? I love tea, but I have banned it for the time-being...

I've been going downhill to be honest

Image
I've been so sluggish these days, probably why I haven't updated, probably why I didn't have the urge to blog. What a vicious cycle. Though I have been eating moderately and healthy, so that's good, or else I'd most likely be ballooning up.. (even more) I really must get back on the grind because in two weeks I'm going to Porter Robinson concert and in five weeks I will go find my heart in SF . I also went online shopping at Pacsun because they had 50% additional from their clearance T_T oh gluttony. Doesn't online shopping for clothes make you a little nervous because you're not sure how well they'll fit on your specific body? Luckily, in my opinion, I think pacsun's chosen companies have around the same sizing charts so I'm usually on point with the sizing. We shall see! And here's a pretty picture that doesn't do this place justice: Sturtevant Falls in Sierra Madre, CA It's such a casual hike though relatively, slig...
