3/12 - ending the weekend

Daycation in San Diego with my loves Did so much in one day: checked out a swap meet, grabbed Phil's BBQ , picniced at the beach, walked around and digested while window shopping, drank PB stout, ate thai food and then walked to Omnia  to dance away some calories. My goodness, at the beach, the seagulls were hawking around ready to steal our foods, bags, purses, jackets! It was both funny and quite alarming to see a seagull stealthily sneak up behind you. Those beaks look like they can do some damage and gouge some eyes out... creeepy. Such predators! 3lau was DJing that night and I had no idea until I saw the screen BLAU omergard. The gods be good! HAHA jk, my friend joked around about the key phrases in Game of Thrones that no one would really use IRL, in our world. Lulz wouldn't that be hilarious. Ribs was a great idea. Picnic was a great idea. Sweater weather turned to sunny was not so great.

Spontaneous Potato Chip Rock!

I've been wanting to hike to the Potato chip rock for a long time. But it is a bit inland of San Diego and whenever we went to SD, we had other plans. So this was a spur of the moment thing when my friend invited us the night before! Sometimes I like to plan out fun things in advance, but other times, spontaneity is great too. I would've been at home happily Netflixing if I didn't go hike :P (it was a busy week with a little bit of stress!) Ok, the hike was at a steep incline for the whole 4 miles uphill. Wow, I was sweating the entire time and I was also out of breath the majority of the time. Hobbes  the corgi was such a champ however; he was being alpha dog and quite aggressively finished the hike. I did not know a corgi could waddle so passionately ahaha. We finally reached the potato chip and saw a line of people waiting to take a picture on it. No one ever tells you that it's quite scary to jump into a crevice and climb up to the rock. AND that the drop from...

It's only been like 1.25 week since I got my LASIK done. Seems like forever ago! The dry eyes have gotten better and halos around the lights at night is less halo-ish. But I still haven't really worked out except for light fasted cardio and pullups/chinups . I'm still too scared to do pushups and go lift. I think when it has passed 2 weeks I'll finally go to the gym! I actually can't wait. It's crazy how 2 weeks of no lifting really played a number on me. Ok to be honest I did lose weight while doing low carb/keto diet and fasted cardio in the morning. But I need more than that. It probably was mostly water weight and whatever gains I made on my booty. I feel so strong and more confident when I push myself at the gym with weights. I can imagine my muscles shriveling and my body fat enveloping me more currently.. Another thing I am looking forward to is putting on eye makeup. Holy crap... I look tired without makeup but my awesome friends and manfriend t...

Friday Fun Day! Saturday spontaneous day

One thing good about having gone to a small private school was that... everyone knew of each other, or at least recognized their faces. Obviously, that could also be a huge disadvantage. But being an alumni means that we have this small yet strong connection of 'networking' and when you bump into someone from your school, it's not that strange to hang out with each other even though back in school the only contact we might've had was taking a course together or bumping into each other at a social gathering. Well that isn't really the case here because I'm close to these awesome ladies here and Mr. Canada (let's call him that) was my ex-roommate's big so we're all interconnected and I have fond, fun memories with him from my undergrad years. hokay.. that was a slight tangent, my bad FRIDAY Anyways, I haven't seen Anabelle and Lexi in a while so through their beckoning I answered their call and sang/drove my way down to SD. I first meet up ...
