I used to be afraid that I couldn't make lasting friendships. That I was not compatible, or someone not loving and worthy enough for another person to invest their time and effort to develop a lasting relationship. This is partly due to freshmen and sophomore year of college when I was making new friends and losing old friends over things that I now consider very petty. And also dating guys for a little more than a month because I didn't feel chemistry and didn't want to delve in deeper and invest my emotions and my own time.
