30 days of working out

First Day of JULY Today when I realized today was the first day of a new month, I told myself I could do 30 days of workouts.. dang it I didn’t work out today, but I realized there’s 31 days in July! Mustt work out tmw and not let myself skip a day I’ve been so busy, but I’m going to try posting what I eat (mostly low carb and keto diet and some moderation) and what workouts I do (strength and cardio) Day 1 (I actually didn't post) Had an exam for my online course but walked on the treadmill for fasted cardio while reading my notes. My favorite way to review notes. I feel like walking helps your mind be more awake, but maybe that's just my logic. Actually I feel really guiltless when I get to watch Netflix while on the treadmill :D I mean I'm being productive! Day 2 an hour to kill Today I had a little more than an hour to kill after an exam and before lab. My new friend asked me if I wanted to check out a taco place near campus, but today I was motivated to fit in a cardi...

Tabata Workout

Tabata 1 round Custom Timer Create your own interval timer or download our interval timer app So, I think Tabata is high intensity interval training. I like it because it's quick spurts of energy expenditure. And you go at your own pace, the fastest and most intense you can push yourself. So 1 round is 8 intervals of 20s (workouts) + 10 s (rest) = 4mins Apparently 4 minutes is enough of a workout, however I like to do 4 rounds total = 16 mins! I'm trying to graduate that to at least 5 rounds next time :) Push Push Push Here's a list of cardio workouts you can alternate. You can also just stick with one workout (ie: sprint all out bawls out for 20 s and rest 10 s then repeat) sprint jumprope burpees mountain climbers plank to pushup pushups pushup jacks dips jumping jacks squat jumps butt kicks high knees

Deadlifting high :)

Today was my deadlifting day! But I was also very lazy in the morning and didn't do fasted cardio. xD Must go harder tmw then for cardio. So.. Last time I did deadlift with my man friend, I got to surpass my mental and physical block of 135 lbs! Holy guacamole. For months I've been stuck and could NOT lift it off the floor at all. However, after a couple of weeks of not working on deadlifts, I was so shocked that I lifted 135 lbs with ease and actually went up to 155 lbs in one gym session. It was crazy I tell you! I can't believe I'm making these gains everywhere. Seeing progress like that really motivates me more and puts me on such a high because there's proof that my body is indeed changing and getting strong. It's an amazing experience even though I still feel like a noob at the gym sometimes. I wonder if I'll ever have that confidence at the gym (maybe when I finally get abs and can shamelessly walk around with a sports bra on, GLOAT). My work...

AestheticDianasaurus trying Intermittent Fasting?

I've always seen it mentioned in the fitness world, but never really looked into it thinking it's just a hype or the next new fad. But I came upon a blog from LiveLifeActive  and it was very informative and a great starting point for anyone who is curious. I'm sorry in advance, I really think in bulletpoints and it's like a visual map for me. So this is going to look like an outline Research I came upon to convince me  Fasts are everyday and your days consist of "fasting periods" and "eating periods" which is a certain amount of hours each day to eat. Fasts are to give your body a break a majority of the fast is during sleeping hours This is LiveLifeActive's IF schedule 16 hr Fasting/8 hr Eating Fast: 9pm - 1pm (skip breakfast) *take 10-15g BCAAs 15 mins preworkout Gym: 12-1pm (hit gym right at end of fast) Eating period: 1pm-9pm BCAAs/Protein right before the workout is to prohibit chance of any muscle breakdown during workou...

Progress pics?!

Haha this morning I decided to flex a little in front of the mirror just for fun. Hey.. seems like the pullups, chin ups and dips are working (still doing assisted ones) I kind of convinced myself that since I gain weight quickly, like when I look at a picture of a glazed donut I gain 5 lbs, I must also be able to lose weight and gain muscles well too. Definitely optimistic thinking and I have no idea if it's true or reasonable. However, I haven't been able to workout in a week and half since I was ill, therefore this process is so random to me. Nevertheless, it planted a seed of more motivation and glee at the proof of process. And I need that. The past couple of weeks, I have been sick with a sore throat, congested nose, slight fever, and muffled-ears. It was frustrating because I felt like speaking was difficult and hearing was impaired, my senses were all so muddled. My eyes were hot from fever and my head was dull with congestion and I had a seemingly-dense head...
