Tabata Workout


So, I think Tabata is high intensity interval training. I like it because it's quick spurts of energy expenditure. And you go at your own pace, the fastest and most intense you can push yourself.

So 1 round is 8 intervals of 20s (workouts) + 10 s (rest) = 4mins
Apparently 4 minutes is enough of a workout, however I like to do 4 rounds total = 16 mins! I'm trying to graduate that to at least 5 rounds next time :) Push Push Push

Here's a list of cardio workouts you can alternate. You can also just stick with one workout (ie: sprint all out bawls out for 20 s and rest 10 s then repeat)

  • sprint
  • jumprope
  • burpees
  • mountain climbers
  • plank to pushup
  • pushups
  • pushup jacks
  • dips
  • jumping jacks
  • squat jumps
  • butt kicks
  • high knees
