Recording myself

Image
I've been fooling around with the idea of recording myself while working out (after I saw some youtubers record themselves doing insanity). Why? Because when you record yourself, for some reason it makes you more accountable and want to go all out in each movie. haha I workout by myself.. so in a way my sad phone/camera and I are kind of like workout partners. Also... this is basically my first time ever editing a video clip. It's not too bad right? hahah 1 round of Tabata is 8 cycles of 20s cardio + 10 s rest (I omitted the resting parts from the video) Int 1: Burpees Int 2: Mummy Kicks Int 3: Jump rope Int 4: Jumping jacks Int 5: Butt Kicks Int 6: Squat Jumps Int 7: High Knees Int 8: Dips I don't get feedback so I'm not sure if I should keep the 10s rests in the video. Well now that I think about it, it would've made sense to include the 10 s rests so that if anyone decides to workout with me, it'd be in real time.. should've thought of t...

Rice Paper spring rolls

Image
Spring rolls are quite easy to make and they look so delectable! They are also healthy (depending what you put into them: lots of veggies most likely). I think I will continue to pack these for lunch boxes :) I used this rice paper and to make 5 spring rolls it's ~120 calories and 29.5 g carbs (not including meat and vegetables). Not bad at all. You can change up the vegetables and meats each time too: carrots cucumbers spinach lettuce cilantro avocado onions bell peppers red cabbages sprouts jicama tomato no meat tofu sausage beef chicken fish/canned tuna The sauce I like to use is hoison sauce + sriracha + a little bit of warm water. Sometimes I add peanut butter as well. Yum
