Day 14 Squats, Deadlifts oh my. Day 15 CST

Thursday I believe I just ran around the neighborhood and wasn't very proactive with my working out. So I won't count this day. Day 14 Friday .  I spent most of the morning getting my eyes checked out and then immediately after I went to the gym for  Volume training  Squats! -warmup with the bar -add the 25 plates and do a set -make it 35 plates and do two sets -make it 45 plates and do as many reps. I take rests in between since I don't have anyone to spot me and every time I don't succeed in completing my squat I have to take the plates off and raise the bar again LOL.  -afterwards go back down to 25 plates and do volume training I also did some deadlifts, I couldn't resist. Then did Adbuctor machine before heading home. Oh but first, let me take a selfie I'm telling you  Squats > Deadlift  for booty growth. Trust me, I like big butts and I want one too. Low Carb & Keto ideas

Halloween is in two weeks. Time to hone in diet and I know keto works the fastest for me. Fasted cardio : Insanity cardio power & resistance + CHUCK (tv show). definitely need workout music next time and then evening Back/Biceps workout -assisted pullups, chinups, dips -shoulder pressdown -tricep pushdown -squatted back rows -close grip lat pulldown -135 lb deadlifts wooo Oh man so today at the gym I saw a girl putting on makeup with fake lashes and doing her hair. So I assumed she was done gymming for the day. But while lifting weights I see her strutting through the weights area to the yoga class all dolled up with a super cropped shirt and low, tight yoga pants. dang girlll, you do your thing! Tomorrow's cardio: I plan to try @Bskyfitness stairmaster HIIT routine. I'm usually doing steady-state stairmaster at around level 9-10 so I hope this routine is effective :D

New food obsession

hehe, if you read my blog once in a while you know I have random food obsessions. This time it's: poached egg ! but more specifically MICROWAVED poached egg Gawd, poached egg is so awesome. That rich, creamy, runny yolk making love to everything it caresses. HAH here's some yolkporn  to remind you of how sexy poached eggs are (I have been too overeager to take pictures of my own yolky egg so I googled some hehe) Salmon eggs benedict Open faced poached egg sammich Oh holy moly, kiss me   poached egg burger fapfapfap. Oh but anyways, I did not know you can cook an egg in the microwave. The microwave at our house is kind of weak so I have to microwave for about 1:30 to 2 minutes, but I love this method of cooking perfect poached eggs. :) never have to wait for water to boil! IIFYM hot cheeto stains

You know you're doing IIFYM right when you realize your pointer finger and thumb are stained red from hot cheetos while you are paying for the low-carb Carl's Junior burger. HE HE HE So last week I tried macro counting/percentages/IIFYM for the first time and I think my body is liking it. However, at times I did indulge in junkfood (ie: ice cream, beer, chips, etc) and I am going to attempt to do macros the 'clean' way this week to see if results are faster. Also, I have realized that if I eat junkfood, it leaves less room for other meals thus I am a little hungry too (even though I eat 1500-1600 calories) We shall see! Experimenting :) Anyways, it is fasted cardio time this wonderful, gloomy Monday morning which I am hoping means rain shall fall upon southern California! Fasted jump roping time! but usually what i mean by that is shuffling, dancing, hip thrusts, belly dancing, booty popping, unce unce-ing while having either Insanity or Grey's Anatomy play...

Lemon Water to boost your metabolism and burn fat

I remember one of my professors told us that one summer she drank lemon water everyday, throughout the day. She lost about 10 lbs without trying (she’s already skinny too but active). She feared she had cancer or another disease, got checked out and found nothing abnormal. Her doctor and she concluded it was the lemon water that boosted her metabolism.  What’s funny was that the next day most of the girls in class had bottles of lemon water. I always forget about this, but I’m going to try to incorporate lemon water into my everyday lifestyle :). Try not to put added sugar or honey. Maybe if you don’t like the bitterness of just lemon water, you can squeeze lemon into green tea.  Oh ps: I saw this picture on yoga_girl's instagram and so I screenshot it to remind myself to drink lemon water. Raw Banana Split & Yoga goal

I think I have a pretty amazing data collection of food inspirations if I say so myself o:). OOh may I add a healthy  collection. One that I think could be so delicious, nutritious, appealing, and still not be calorically dense. However the con about that is that I forget what I have accumulated over time. I want to try to knock some off (at least one a week) my virtual to-do list. So I'm kind of having a sweet tooth yet I am too lazy to attempt the other ones that I have: I shall try to recreate a Raw banana split, so maybe watch out for that in a future post. I'm not sure the source of this picture but if it is yours and you'd like it removed please let me know. thank you. But here's how I might try to accomplish my version - soak chia seeds overnight in milk, cut a banana, and slice fruits, sprinkle granola & nuts, and if I had chocolate protein powder I'd mix that with milk or water and kind of use it like chocolate syrup. I guess I shall address my goal of trying to grow a booty for my 100th post! My hips are quite narrow and although I believe my butt is perky, it just doesn't have a lot of mass to it. Therefore my body is kind of straight and actually closer to being an inverted triangle because I am also blessed with being slightly top-heavy... o:) Furthermore, I used to swim as a child and was on the swim team in high school so needless to say, my shoulders used to be very broad. I never thought I could naturally make a drastic change to my butt (like how people can't enlarge their chests without plastic surgery?..). I mean I knew you can make your butt perkier and have a nicer shape, but did not realize that you can make it buffer and in turn become bigger. So now I understand, squats can help you grow your booty and pushups can make your boobs perkier and also make them a little bigger. GOOD NEWS RIGHT? Incentives

I think knowing that I'm going to gorge at a meal gives me one of the best incentives to push myself extremely hard during a workout. Hence today, I knew I must PUSH HARD before I go to ayce sushi 0:) Today's workout: Insanity Cardio Power & Resistance and I added two 5 lb dumbbells in the mix (I held them while doing jumping jacks and whenever possible during the movie). Definitely makes your heart beat faster and works out your arms! This is my current "before" picture. I'm going to try to make the "after" picture drastically obvious? hopefully! I keep yo-yoing in my progress; gaining water weight, gaining fat, shedding fat, gaining muscles. It's so skewed :( My month of August goal is to prioritize my time better, not procrastinate, and workout at least 5-6 days out of the week, and in turn keep this going on for the rest of my life. I'm going to start being extremely busy in about two weeks, but that should not rob me of at least...

Oh this 1st pic isn't me (found it on tumblr). but this 2nd one is! What motivates you to go workout? The past month of May was not a very successful one for me in regards to health and fitness >< (I basically pigged out a lot, and then seeing myself 'let go' and just not having the strength and will power to push myself to workout) and I am feeling the retribution of my gorging and inactiveness 0:) I will probably show a picture of the effects later after I work on my "after picture." This is what I've been doing for the past week

I've been cleansing myself from fast food and carbs (well, actually I don't remember the last time I got fast food, but that's a good thing!). I don't think I see the effects very well this week because I am bloated from that horrid girly time of the month thing. And last week, I had intense cravings for donuts, juicy burgers, crunchy salacious chips, and sodium-enriched pizzas... But I didn't indulge in any. Encountering this picture on tumblr reminded me of how I basically was towards all the food porn thrown throughout the internet. Homemade Protein Powder!

I recently ran out of protein powder so I started looking up possible substitutes. BLACK BEANS! Haven't tried out this powder yet, but excited I have all the ingredients at home already and don't have to shell out money for protein powders, they're quite pricey.. Also feeling better because this time I know exactly what I'm putting into my body instead of wondering what that amino acid-protein-lab synthesis information is all about :) Step 1 : 1 tbsp each of dried soybeans, oats, brown rice, and black beans to coffee grinder. Soybeans and black beans are protein-rich but strong flavored, whereas brown rice and oats have less protein and will mask the stronger taste of the soybeans/black beans,  (soo.. I'm assuming everything is dried) Step 2: Grind until flour-like consistency. Add Ins: 1/2 of a vanilla bean and 2 tsps. each of maca powder and spirulina.   Can add chorela, matcha, wheat grass powder, raw cacao powder, etc Step 3: Keep protein powd...

BRO. seriously? It's amazing and impressive that you can leg press this, but how about me? That's already 810 pounds just from the weights, which is approximately 7x heavier than me. GRRR. gym etiquette = re-rack please. taking off 45 plates 16x is already kind of a small workout for me. Sorry.
