Orange

I was wondering why I have been kind of MIA on my blog. haha then it dawned on me, I've been binge watching Orange is the New Black . .... I believe I finished two seasons in a span of 1-1.5 week. Holy crap. That is dedication. Now I can continue on with my normal life. I'm not exactly sure why the show is so captivating, but it is. (I mean, the show is held in a prison and interestingly even though everyone is restricted and everyday is supposed to be dully monotonous, shit just happens). I think the writers of the show really develop the characters that we as viewers invest our time and interest to the past and present of the characters. And since there's so many characters, there are just so many different angles to follow all leading up to a bigger element. Also, I think it's amazing how they evolve most of the characters and no one is exactly one-dimensional. I believe that's why it's a bit impossible to really despise any of the characters (except...

Deadlifting high :)

Today was my deadlifting day! But I was also very lazy in the morning and didn't do fasted cardio. xD Must go harder tmw then for cardio. So.. Last time I did deadlift with my man friend, I got to surpass my mental and physical block of 135 lbs! Holy guacamole. For months I've been stuck and could NOT lift it off the floor at all. However, after a couple of weeks of not working on deadlifts, I was so shocked that I lifted 135 lbs with ease and actually went up to 155 lbs in one gym session. It was crazy I tell you! I can't believe I'm making these gains everywhere. Seeing progress like that really motivates me more and puts me on such a high because there's proof that my body is indeed changing and getting strong. It's an amazing experience even though I still feel like a noob at the gym sometimes. I wonder if I'll ever have that confidence at the gym (maybe when I finally get abs and can shamelessly walk around with a sports bra on, GLOAT). My work...

Deadlifting high

This past weekend I had one of the best workouts I have ever had because my best friend came to visit me and there was finally someone who pushed me with my workouts. I asked him for a regimen that'll target our backs and butt so it consisted of sprint walking on a "hill," lunges, squats, deadlifts, lat pulldowns, pullups, pushups, and leg raises. I was definitely sore for the next two days. I am so glad of this workout because I was able to show myself how much I can push myself and how much I can endure and achieve. Our workout lasted two hours and although I was relieved it was over, I felt like maybe, just maybe, I could've done more; well, to the point of pure fall to the floor exhaustion. With squats I was able to do 95 lbs but was a little too scared to do more. (my squats before were with 25 lb plates only :P) And for someone who never deadlifted because she was scared of hurting her back, I was able to do two sets with 95 lbs. Though it may not be much ...

100 posts already?

I guess I shall address my goal of trying to grow a booty for my 100th post! My hips are quite narrow and although I believe my butt is perky, it just doesn't have a lot of mass to it. Therefore my body is kind of straight and actually closer to being an inverted triangle because I am also blessed with being slightly top-heavy... o:) Furthermore, I used to swim as a child and was on the swim team in high school so needless to say, my shoulders used to be very broad. I never thought I could naturally make a drastic change to my butt (like how people can't enlarge their chests without plastic surgery?..). I mean I knew you can make your butt perkier and have a nicer shape, but did not realize that you can make it buffer and in turn become bigger. So now I understand, squats can help you grow your booty and pushups can make your boobs perkier and also make them a little bigger. GOOD NEWS RIGHT? This picture best shows you that there are three muscles that compose our butt...
