EASY PEASY, no extra fluff, PROTEIN waffles!

Image
For some reason I was craving waffles today, but I've also decided I want to eat more wholesome & also less carbs (mostly from bread, sugar, rice however). Therefore, I decided to look up Protein frickin waffles! I noticed there were more "easy" ingredients for protein pancakes, whereas, for waffles there were "more" ingredients. Well.. I guess I'll try to experiment today and if it's a fail, I shall be eating chocalate-y egg scramble. Intriguing Luckily for me, today's attempt was a success! Here's another 3-ingredient no-fluff recipe :D . EASY PEASY 30 g whey protein (or like 1 scoop) 1 egg 1/4 cup water Since I didn't add baking powder, the waffles didn't rise but I'm totally ok with that. For some extra flavor, I drizzled honey and sprinkled some cinnamon. Then pretty much mashed everything into my mouth. Craving totally satisfied without any guilt. yesss I think for next time. I might blend some chia seeds to he...

I've tried it before but only with banana + eggs.. it didn't really come out very well and that day I had scrambled eggs that tasted like bananas. It was slightly off-putting. So today I tried to find a 3-ingredient recipe with oatmeal flour in it. And eventually came with this successful find :D ( Recipe link ) I think having the oatmeal flour helps add texture and a bit of dryness to make cooking these bad babes a lot easier. Although... I still had almost half my batter turn into pancake scramble. HAha! practice makes perfect however. I'm gonna stick with this recipe as long as I have ripe bananas Anddd, it's Sunday! I'm planning to get a workout sesh in today. Debating if I want to do another leg day or BBG. hmm hmm decisio...

Raw Banana Split & Yoga goal

I think I have a pretty amazing data collection of food inspirations if I say so myself o:). OOh may I add a healthy  collection. One that I think could be so delicious, nutritious, appealing, and still not be calorically dense. However the con about that is that I forget what I have accumulated over time. I want to try to knock some off (at least one a week) my virtual to-do list. So I'm kind of having a sweet tooth yet I am too lazy to attempt the other ones that I have: I shall try to recreate a Raw banana split, so maybe watch out for that in a future post. I'm not sure the source of this picture but if it is yours and you'd like it removed please let me know. thank you. But here's how I might try to accomplish my version - soak chia seeds overnight in milk, cut a banana, and slice fruits, sprinkle granola & nuts, and if I had chocolate protein powder I'd mix that with milk or water and kind of use it like chocolate syrup. I also want to work on...

another homemade 'protein' shake

omg why didn't I think of using tofu in shakes before?? I sometimes love to just eat raw, silken tofu  because it's kind of like pudding... Tchh who needs protein powder anyways. I love this more natural alternative! < In this smoothie for my post-workout: Pineapples, strawberries, banana, 1/2 cup of tofu and some water. Delicious =) Happy Dianasaur The first two links are more information about tofu as protein source in smoothies and the last link is a recipe for a chocolate/tofu milkshake! http://www.livestrong.com/article/182441-how-to-make-your-own-gym-protein-shake/ http://www.livestrong.com/article/85985-make-protein-shakes-protein-powder/ http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2012/09/12/chocolate-protein-milkshake/ healthy, gym, fitness, workout, protein, proteinshake, cheaper, natural, smoothie, post workout, fruits, strawberry, pineapple, banana, tofu, soy,
