Homemade Protein Powder!
I recently ran out of protein powder so I started looking up possible substitutes.
BLACK BEANS!
Haven't tried out this powder yet, but excited I have all the ingredients at home already and don't have to shell out money for protein powders, they're quite pricey.. Also feeling better because this time I know exactly what I'm putting into my body instead of wondering what that amino acid-protein-lab synthesis information is all about :)
Step 1:
1 tbsp each of dried soybeans, oats, brown rice, and black beans to coffee grinder. Soybeans and black beans are protein-rich but strong flavored, whereas brown rice and oats have less protein and will mask the stronger taste of the soybeans/black beans,
(soo.. I'm assuming everything is dried)
Step 2:
Grind until flour-like consistency.
Add Ins:
1/2 of a vanilla bean and 2 tsps. each of maca powder and spirulina.
Can add chorela, matcha, wheat grass powder, raw cacao powder, etc
Step 3:
Keep protein powder into airtight container and put in cool, dry place

Here's my personal outcome
