Friday Fun Day! Saturday spontaneous day

One thing good about having gone to a small private school was that... everyone knew of each other, or at least recognized their faces. Obviously, that could also be a huge disadvantage. But being an alumni means that we have this small yet strong connection of 'networking' and when you bump into someone from your school, it's not that strange to hang out with each other even though back in school the only contact we might've had was taking a course together or bumping into each other at a social gathering.

Well that isn't really the case here because I'm close to these awesome ladies here and Mr. Canada (let's call him that) was my ex-roommate's big so we're all interconnected and I have fond, fun memories with him from my undergrad years.
hokay.. that was a slight tangent, my bad

FRIDAY

Anyways, I haven't seen Anabelle and Lexi in a while so through their beckoning I answered their call and sang/drove my way down to SD. I first meet up with Anabelle and we head to the gym because we knew the night would entail lots of eating and socializing..
I loved how big the groupx room was! You can space yourself easily.
One advantage about working out by yourself is that you're on your own time schedule and you can go in and out of a gym asap. On Friday, I worked out so much because I was waiting around LOL
Here's what I ended up doing:
-Shoulder press on exercise ball
-Side lateral raises with weights
-Bosu ball mountain climbers
-Bosu ball planks

-Squat pyramids
-20-25 reps starting weight
-15-20 reps starting weight + 10lbs
-12-15 reps starting weight + 15lbs
-12-15 reps starting weight + 15lbs
-15-20 reps starting weight + 10lbs
-20-25 reps starting weight

-Hip abduction with weights
-Single leg deadlifts
-Chest press machine
-5 min stairmaster

I kind of rushed Anabelle :P <3 I mean, I guess I could've done cardio, but I need coffeee. My average time at the gym is 1 hr, we were there like 1.5 hours! Afterwards, we were so hungry and thirsty that we ended up canceling all that working out with boba milk tea with pudding T_T mmm

Eventually, we clean ourselves up and head to dinner with everyone else

Needless to say, "we went to town" on the delicious food. I am currently hungry as I'm typing this, it's midnight, and I'm salivating :(
Also, after dinner, I have no idea how we fit anything else in our bellies, but we drank down our drinks and ordered several shots of tequila. We lovee tequila. Mr. Canada was visting SD and Anabelle wanted to show him the nightlife!

The night went by really quickly.. But very adventurous nevertheless
1. Altitude sky lounge
2. meeting new friends on the elevator ride down and deciding to barhop together
3. getting cards from promoters for free cover to block no 16 so we check it out and dance to edm music for a while
4. Finding Anabelle exchange numbers with another girl because they somehow decided to be gym partners. HAHA
5. Henry's pub and dancing the calories away!
6. actually being there til the lights go on and bouncers tell you to go home
7. pizza for some hungry people
8. almost getting into a fight with a rudeee, disrespectful girl. Luckily, it didn't happen. Like Ted Moseby in HIMYM, I have never been in a real fight and have no idea what the outcome would be. In hindsight, I'm very glad there were guys to break it up. Thank you kind strangers looking out for humanity. I swear, I am the least dramatic, most chill girl ever, to the point of downright laziness and seemingly apathetic.
9. Being escorted by a friendly Georgian gentleman that followed us all the way to Mr. Canada's hotel...
10. Mr. Canada making us popcorn
11. Anabelle guiding Lexi home because she didn't have her night glasses on hahaha. drunk leading the semi-blind
12. Night time stories with Anabelle and taking vitamins to replenish ourselves

Oh man, what a great night. This is the epitome of our twenties.

SATURDAY
We met up with Mr. Canada. Originally was going to try out Hash house a go go, but the wait was at least an hour. No thank you. So we walk to a nearby Mexican restaurant and order from their brunch menu. To be honest, we all considered the bottomless mimosas but decided against it. Though the free champagne on the side ironically helped our queasy stomachs.
I had this conversation with my other friends, did you know our current generation is known to be nostalgic? The previous generations weren't as nostalgic as we are in our time right now. Like, we are known to leave our homes much later and we try to grasp onto our childhood for much longer. Why is that?
I know, I'm random.. I guess I thought about this again since we were all reminiscing about the past.

We wanted to chill poolside on that sunny day, but ended up at a swap meet and omgggg it was so cool! They sell clothes, food, plants, produce, samurai swords, shoes, toys, jewelry, art, sunglasses, hats, etc . And we arrived 30 mins to closing. aslkhg I want to check it out again next time I visit SD.

I'm kind of an introvert, but it's always wonderful seeing my friends and continuing on our conversations as if we just saw each other yesterday :).

Stay classy San Diego.
I'll see you next time!
