Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse - Lasik edition

Ok, So I've been a bit MIA this weekend because...
*commence drumroll*


I just had LASIK procedure done on Saturday morning! Oh man, I have to be honest, it was bit nerve-wrecking and scary but I swear practicing a bit of yoga meditation and calming breaths really helped. It was also great that my surgeon told me step-by-step what he was doing and what to expect while in a calming, encouraging manner.
"It's going to go dark right about now"
"Focus on the green flashing light"
"You're doing great"
"My assistant will be holding your hand at this next part"
"That was the hardest part" (The part when you feel pressure and know they're cutting a flap on your cornea X.x Oh gawdddd)

I pretty much slept all day and night of Saturday. It would've helped me tremendously if I saw the tylenol in the post-op kit... my eyes were stinging and they were tearing while I waited for the ambien to kick in.

Yeupp. so this is the last picture of me in glasses! 8) It is so awesome that I can finally see the clock when I go to sleep and when I wake up. I don't think it has really hit me yet that I can see without glasses and contacts. It currently just feels like I've been wearing contacts overnight for dayss (eyes are quite dry). Haha and the best part? My friend and I joked about this but if we ever have a zombie apocalypse, I don't have to worry about the worst-case scenario:
While running frantically away from a zombie, Diana trips and the scratched up, ill-fitting glasses fall off her face. She blindly tries to grab the glasses in midst of its fall but alas she only heard the sound of its shatter. And through the blur she could see the haggard figure come looming ever closer to her.

In related news, I finally finished watching Season 4 of Walking Dead. I can't wait to start the current season!

haha wow today I spent quite a bit of time on Pinterest organizing my old likes and boards. It's one of those sites that really suck up your time because you invested so many things you want to save for a future project or for your future in general. But the one disadvantage is that I've collected so many things that I pinned to look at later, which I have forgotten. I want to kind of get into a habit of looking back at them (while not wasting too much time) and bringing them out into action. Friday Fun Day! Saturday spontaneous day

One thing good about having gone to a small private school was that... everyone knew of each other, or at least recognized their faces. Obviously, that could also be a huge disadvantage. But being an alumni means that we have this small yet strong connection of 'networking' and when you bump into someone from your school, it's not that strange to hang out with each other even though back in school the only contact we might've had was taking a course together or bumping into each other at a social gathering. Well that isn't really the case here because I'm close to these awesome ladies here and Mr. Canada (let's call him that) was my ex-roommate's big so we're all interconnected and I have fond, fun memories with him from my undergrad years. hokay.. that was a slight tangent, my bad FRIDAY Anyways, I haven't seen Anabelle and Lexi in a while so through their beckoning I answered their call and sang/drove my way down to SD.
