Day 8ish - plethora of fasted cardios and lackadaisical gymming

Lost count of workout days..
Had a lackluster past weekend with a mild case of FOMO. Had to study for test and also help my students study for theirs as well. Furthermore, since I worked out on and off throughout this week, my shower schedule was off and adding onto the mismanagement of my time I slept a tremendous amount. Zzzzz I wish I could carry over the excess hours I sleep.


I saw this fact somewhere and thinking about the amount of time we spend sleeping fascinated me. 25 years if you sleep 8 hours on average. haha wow. So if you're 75 years old, you only really have 50 years of life experience :P, since 25 years were spent sleeping like Sleeping Beauty.

so.. although I have been working out throughout the week but not as diligently as I would've liked, I'll call today's post Day 8 of workouts

I am still penguin waddling around from two days ago when I did 10x10 volume training on squats. woo! Although I had a great squat session, I was pretty irritated that the safety bars/rods were missing. I couldn't really push myself to do more reps and several times I had to drop the bar behind me. (Wish I had someone who could workout with me and spot me) :/ This is one of the major woes of lonesome gymming.

Haha ok I've been thinking of writing about how I make my cold-brew coffee for some time and I finally took pictures of it today. This is my ghetto-rig cold-brew coffee!:

So you just need a container to put your coffee grounds in. I would use a french press if you currently have one. The reason why I would use the french press is so that you don't need a paper filter and don't need a separate container to steep your grounds. haha but since I do not have one, this is the next alternative for me that I am glad I improvised with.
{Off on a tangent though. Isn't it annoying how some daily necessities
have to be purchased constantly? Like toilet paper, tampons, gas, and 
namely coffee filter? HAHA am I ridiculous for thinking this?}

What you see is a water bottle with grounds that I let sit in the fridge for at least 12 hours, a Teavana perfectea maker, and a mug. I'm glad the tea strainer works perfectly well with coffee grounds :D




Super simple, Super cheap, super efficient, super strong! I am delighted that such things as cold-brewed coffee exists and that I can still get that caffeine kick I need to kick my workouts' bootys!
I feel like I should be posting an indulgent selfie of me with my cup of coffee right here, but I did not really think of that.
