Cardio Day

I did 30 minutes of Georges St-Pierre's Fight Conditioning workout in the morning. I can just watch him workout while he huffs and puff in his French accent... Though I found out recently that French people are really straightforward and blunt to kind of a fault. If they don't like your first impression, you'll know. Or maybe I just met a douchey man who happened to be French too (no worries, it wasn't my first impression he didn't like. But still, the way he treated the other person was downright rude). Then in the evening went to the cycling class. Today's instructor is a petite Vietnamese woman and although her accent was incredibly hard to discern, it was awesome how she just yelled out UP and DOWN and LEVEL 10! haha. I also think she really enjoys techno music. Usually when I'm in cycling class I sit next to people who look like serious cyclers. The room is dimmed, so today I thought I sat next to a woman near my age and I tried to keep pace with

Motivation for today

motivation, workout, gym,  I used to give myself excuses about working out: ehh, I don't feel like working out. If I'm not going to put 100% in it, it's not worth it. Yes, you might have some bad days when you're not in the zone, but when you push yourself out of that mindset and still try to attempt to workout, it's still a workout, albeit a weak one maybe. And hey, oftentimes when you do get out of that rut in the gym, you'll be surprised how effective you actually become. The only bad workout is the one that didn't happen. When instead you're wallowing in self-pity and laziness (this is speaking for myself..).

I'm not sure if Planet Fitness is really advertising right/smart/logically. They make fun of people who really do take care of their bodies and devote themselves. But then again, gyms make money off the people who pay for memberships but rarely show up. So then to make fun of people you would see at the gym day in and day out may grant you more profit if they decide to not go to such a judgmental gym franchise. I think this commercial is fricking hilarious though. I've never ever seen a situation remotely close to this, well maybe only in middle school locker rooms where every single girl basically has a self-esteem issue. Watch out for me in the future. I'm totally going to be like those girls and tell everyone they look HOT and that we should go do HOT things somewhere HOT ;)

How I spent the majority of my Sunday today

Streaming UMF TV. Oh my gawd, so jealous. It was interesting how the number of viewers all around the world kept climbing. asdfghjkls it must've been SO amazing to just be in that environment, especially with Swedish House Mafia killing their officially very last set together at the very end. But then again, it's also nice not rubbing sweat with strangers and not having to mingle through a huge clusterfuck upon clusterfuck to try to use the bathroom. Yet... I'm still jealous hehe. Today I felt like eating Pancakes

So yummy! 1/2 cup milk with some protein powder to give a chunky texture 1/2 cups oats 2 eggs cinnamon honey blueberries (giving the pancake the blue hue) Blender Heat non-stick pan and I used olive oil Tossed some whole blueberries into the batter as it was cooking Made two big-sized pancakes :) Chopped up some strawberries and put it as a layer between the two pancakes. Today's regimen was much more successful! I was in the vicinity of my gym because of an errand I had around 8 pm. Grudgingly I headed to the gym because well I was already out and about and didn't want to hear my mom tell me how I'm wasting gas going back and forth and back and forth. 8:30 pm is not so bad as I always assumed it'd be. Granted the zumba class was lined up against the wall but I wasn't interested in doing that. There were less meatheads in the weights section at this time and today the stretching area  was  not full of people! joy! I only really need the 15s, 20s, and 25s and those are included in the stretching area, so I was indeed a happy camper. And I got to to my ab workouts too in peace. I think my stenciling projects would go a lot better if I had more patience, used better equipment, and took more precautions. I'm too impatient, don't know what the better equipments are, and a lazy daisy :) But I think today's came out well, although the lines are a bit sloppy and it does look a lot better from afar. (done with spray paint and sponge. $2.50 crop top found at a Pink Zone store) Here's to crop tops to wear to Disneyland and also to the gym, because you know fit girls wear crop tops everyday during the summer... Back & Biceps

Yesterday night I waited for the rush and post-rush workout times to pass on by. I thought 10 pm should be ok... NOT There were a lot of people in both the weights and cardio section of the gym. Even the stretching area was a clusterfuck. I'm the one with the nocturnal sleep schedule, why is everyone still there? It honestly looked like there were 2-3 guys to each weight station. :( I need to write out a better routine that will let me just use the most of the exercise/cardio room, or go to the gym at an even later time. I wish I was buff, then I'd hog the weights too. My very optimistic workout plan for the night: BACKS & BICEPS 3 sets of 12 reps -Seated cable row -Wide Grip Lat pulldown -EZ bar curl -Chin ups -One arm DB row -Interval bike for 20 mins. 30 s off the seat fast, 1 min cruising Unfortunately, did not pan out so well. Snowboarding Sunday Funday

I'm more of a beach girl. Probably cause the sound of waves is soothing and the murmur of people playing frisbee or laughing at the waves in the background is joyful and relaxing. I can't wait for the beach days. Thinking about snowboarding always gives my heart a slight jolt of panic. Why? Because getting ON the ski lift is kind of scary for me and also getting OFF is more scary because you have this feeling that everyone sees you fall flat on your face and sometimes if you don't get up fast enough the whole ski lift is paused just for you. There's no telling how slickly you'll get off that lift, and that's what gets me nervous each time I'm on that lift -_-. To me, although it's a small leap off that chair, it's still a little spurt of adrenaline each time and I can never get over that. So trivial right? I mean I guess waves are just as scary. Each one can be unassuming and unpredictable. Some may be mellow yet others can come crashing dow

Where did the past week go? a MONTH late post...

Warning. this is more like a diary entry. And it's not even entertaining at all or smart. Friday 2/15 Hotwire/delta/ LAX Apparently there's a strict 30 minute check in. I seriously got to the kiosk 29 mins before boarding time -__- and I was blocked. But fortunately, the nice woman 1 let me run to my original flight while giving me a guaranteed ticket to a later flight (15 mins to wait in line and go through airport security then running to the gate for my plane). Nice woman 2 with red hair and high heeled boots understood my plight and eventually let me get the absolutely last seat on that full

Vegetarian "noodle" soup

One day I was craving pho, noodles, and seafood. But there was none of those available at home. Therefore, I improvised. I'm not one to really measure things when I cook, more like eye things and just add random stuff as I go along. Here is my random recipe. What I had in minds was pho/seafood egg noodle soup. So Vietnamese/Chinese influence with some Korean loving :) 1. Into pot I poured a little bit of fish oil and sauteed garlic in that. Tossed in sliced mushrooms, cilantro for a short time 2. Poured in water over all that and let boil while I put in oyster sauce, sweet chili sauce and sriacha 3. Then put the rest of the vegetables in soup when fully boiling (I used mushrooms that look like skinny noodles as my "noodles") The vegetables that I personally used were: carrots, red pepper, jalapeno, button mushrooms, bokchoy, onions, green onions And I hardboiled an egg and cut it in half There are so many ways you can add your own tastes or add va

Zyzz. The beginning of the Aesthetics

My guy friends told me about aesthetics, and they learned it from him. Basically he coined that into looking super shredded and simply aesthetic. RIP to him though. He didn't give a fuarkkk about what others thought and just had fun doing what he loved. Getting aesthetic, you mirin? Come at me bro I personally like to listen to electro, dance, techno, trance music while I workout. So his clips and montages for him motivate me. hahah Everyone's trying to make their own aesthetics crew. I'm just trying to be aesthetic too :)
