Long, long MDW weekend recap

I'm still having withdrawals from a jam-packed half week with my love(s) in Norcal

Sat
I spy a unicorn!
Drove to Norcal then almost immediately the bros took me to Sac Valley shooting range (but not before we grabbed a few tacos from the taco truck :D). I got to shoot with the AK-47 and AR-15. my goodness... I can't believe my manfriend and friend has those guns #murica. It was quite fun to be at the shooting range. Although, I have no idea if I even hit the target with the heavy-duty guns. I think we were just shooting with the guns mainly for the thrill, ha. On the otherhand, I am a good shot (pun hehe) with the handgun. first bullet to the head, second bullet to the chest. pew pew.

When we finally left the shooting range, we came upon a saloon in our path. We're in gun country now boys. I think we got 4 amber ales for $10, holy so cheap. And of course country songs were being played, with people shooting pool in the background. The coolest part of the saloon was the ceiling filled with scribbles, messages, and drawings.

Afterwards, we had Indian food and had such a hilarious moment when manfriend told B that the "tofu" was tooo cheesy.
P: "ehh, I did not like that tofu. It was too cheesy."
B: "what do you mean cheesy? You're tripping."
P: "do you want to bet there's no cheese? I can taste any hint of cheese."
B: "You're wrong!" to the server "Is there cheese on this tofu?"
Server: "That is not tofu. It is Paneer, curd cheese."
HAHAA

Finally, we went back to manfriend's house and eventually it became a typical bro hangout, except this time we got to watch some magical card tricks! Dang, that slight of hand magic trickiness is too awesome.

Sun
Sunday Funday BBQ! one of our friends asked if it someone's birthday, or are we celebrating something? Yes, yes we are celebrating because manfriend bought a bbq grill :D + another unofficial housewarming. It's starting to feel a lot like summerrr.

There were oysters, carne asada, ribs, sausages, guacamole, wines, beers plus more! Manfriend's mom awesomely provided soooo much delicious food and wine. Shh, don't tell him I'm dating him mainly cause his mom always has bomb-food :D haha keeding, but absolutely one of the perks I have discovered hohoho.
It was such an amazing time feasting and hanging out with my bro-fam. I ate constantly throughout the day because the food was just too awesome o:) #gluttony, and this meme defines me just perfectly haha.

Mon
Surprisingly I didn't wake up feeling too bloated, mainly since I stayed away from beers and really just ate a sh*t-ton of protein o:)
But, manfriend and I had a very successful morning workout doing pushups, mountain climbers, ab wheels, and to add in some fun, couples workout!:

  1. I got onto his shoulders and he squatted me *emoji heart eyes hahah*
  2. ab crunch on your boyfriend's abs
  3. couples pushups
Hopefully next time we'll film or take pictures of it and also take a buff couple abs-selfie :P. Afterwards we lounged around the pool and enjoyed the day off.

Tues
ahh, had a lazy day with my dear, because we love to just relax in each other's company. We watched Mind Games, Blacklist, and Despicable Me 2 in 3D with glasses that come along with smart TV's nowadays. so smart!
In the evening, we had a final dinner with some friends and had Korean BBQ. Definitely ate so much meat this past week
By the end of the night and the next morning, we were two heartbroken souls knowing we had to leave each other once again. He even refused to say a definitive goodbye to me before heading to work in hopes that it would prevent me from going back to socal. That silly man, I also wish it was as so.

Long distance relationship... every time we part, it's like a breakup each time. For a couple of days I just wanted to curl up in bed, eat ice cream, drink beers and wine, and eat hot cheetos in bed :(
It's strange, on the drive back home I heard on NPR news about their description of the Milk Carton Kids' songs: "Many of these songs explore the feeling of disconnectedness, of being physically in one place while yearning for another."

How they stated what I feel in my own body when I'm away. For now, these memories and my dreams will keep me in the present.
