Best Midnight snacks for things you crave



I tried this with oolong tea instead of apple juice but it most definitely did not taste like an apple pie.....

except this link is not the exact recipe I've been looking for.

Maybe next time I'll try with apple juice...

When you’re craving ice cream
1/4 cup pf part-skim ricotta cheese + 1/2 cup berries in blender
rich in calcium & antioxidants

When you’re craving salt
3 cups of air-popped popcorn (90 calories) + 1 tbs of reduced-fat grated Parmesan cheese (22 calories)
full of fiber & filling

When you’re craving nuts
1/2 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal + Greek yogurt
fiber & protein

When you’re craving pie
Core apple, place in microwavable dish and pour ounce of no sugar added apple juice into core. Microwave for 1 minute
*dash of cinammon

When you’re craving pizza
English muffin + tomato sauce + part-skim mozzarella cheese

When you’re craving Mexican
Guacamole with baby carrots
Not-Chos: thinly slices zucchini as chips with ounce of low-fat cheddar cheese. microwave cheese then + black beans +salsa+ greek yogurt

When you’re craving french fries
Cut a sweet potato into skinny strips and toss them in a small amount of olive oil, salt and pepper on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees F for 30 to 45 minutes or until brown and crispy

When you’re craving frozen yogurt
“Banana soft-serve.” Put two small frozen bananas (without the peel) in a blender and mix until they’re smooth and creamy.

When you’re craving chips
Tear kale leaves into small pieces and toss with olive oil, salt and pepper. Spread them on a nonstick baking sheet and cook at 375 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes

When you’re craving a candy bar
Dried date filled with a teaspoon of almond or peanut butter and a few dark chocolate chips
