Rehydrating Dried figs
I don't usually eat dried fruits because I heard that the sugar content is very high. However I found a bag of dried organic figs from Costco and decided to try them. I've never seen or tried a fresh fig before but I do know that they're all the hype in the health and fitness outlets. ps, they're beautiful fruits/flowers
Ok, so in the beginning, I was just nibbling on the chewy and crunchy texture of the dried figs which took me back to a Korean snack I used to eat when I was little (don't recollect what it was, but it was probably dried persimmon). I wanted to figure out more creative ways to use the dried figs, and eventually came about with fruit flavored water
It tasted so clean and sweetly detoxifying.
In the mason jar, I sliced up dried figs, sliced fresh strawberries, and threw in frozen blueberries. Let it sit in the fridge for a while so that the fig can be rehydrated and the water can become flavored.
Love it!
