90% vs 10%

Image
This is my current progress. I've been lifting, doing fasted cardio, and also suana-ing. But after my lift sessions I would eat such things as poptarts, chips, donuts, pizzas, ice cream bars... I'm pretty sure this is why my progress isn't as effective as it should be. I've decided to quit my literal post workout blackhole meals for the next 1.5 weeks cause next weekend is fricking Outside Lands! Ahhh :D Oh and my friend told me since 90% of diet is how we get abs.. in a way that means 10% can be cheat meals. 10% of 30 days is only 3 days of cheat meals a month. Doesn't this logic make sense? hahha it opened up my mind! Anyways. Push strong dears! There's a way when there's a will. And I want to see what I can achieve .

Lemon Water to boost your metabolism and burn fat

Image
I remember one of my professors told us that one summer she drank lemon water everyday, throughout the day. She lost about 10 lbs without trying (she’s already skinny too but active). She feared she had cancer or another disease, got checked out and found nothing abnormal. Her doctor and she concluded it was the lemon water that boosted her metabolism.  What’s funny was that the next day most of the girls in class had bottles of lemon water. I always forget about this, but I’m going to try to incorporate lemon water into my everyday lifestyle :). Try not to put added sugar or honey. Maybe if you don’t like the bitterness of just lemon water, you can squeeze lemon into green tea.  Oh ps: I saw this picture on yoga_girl's instagram and so I screenshot it to remind myself to drink lemon water. I would love love love to have her life. She is in love, optimistic, and shares her passion for life and yoga with everyone. I am not a yoga guru however... I am one of the most inflexible

What do you do for fun?

Image
I wish I could update every day. It's kind of hard balancing summer classes, workouts, work, sleep, and a social life. Lately when I met a couple of new people they have asked me what I do for fun.. I was taken aback by the question cause I haven't really asked myself that and I kind of hesitantly said "well.. I'm currently just studying and working out." (I think if I had awesome muscles, this answer would've been said with more pride) Later I thought about that answer and thought man, I could've hyped it up more. My weekdays are when I make time for myself and give 100% to school and workouts/health. I prepare and eat low carb all week (except for my post workout blackhole meal), I go to lecture/lab, and I go to the gym for weight sessions. I should be more proud. These are my current goals, and I am working on them. However I think people who don't workout don't understand how much time and willpower working out demands. Maybe they think I&

Deadlift HIGH

Image
Hahah today I did sets of deadlifts til failure. This message kind of made my evening today hehe My Deadlifting day usually follows like so: Warmup with 95lbs 1 x 10 reps 135 lbs 2 x 7 185 lbs x4 205 lbs x3 (my current PR) then drop back down to 135 lbs and do as many sets and reps TIL FAILURE. I usually can do about 6 sets of 5-7 reps. Then I finish with 10 minutes of inclined walking on the treadmill. Deadlift days are my most badass baby boss days :) Now if only my butt will grow and my belly fat will shed so I can have abs!

Week 1 workouts

Image
haha this is a little embarrassing.. putting pictures up of my progress but I want to be more open and candid with my fitness journey. So I'm kind of laughing at this before and after for my first week because of how 'drastic' it is. The picture on the left was from the past Sunday after July 4 celebrating of eating, drinking, and no working out. And the right is a pictures from a yesterday morning after almost a week of lifting, eating low carbs mostly, and morning cardio sessions. Quick advice. The night before the 'before' picture, make sure to eat some pizza and a burger then wash it down with a cold beer. When taking the before pic, remember to jut out your guy and then you'll have a 'drastic' picture ;) It can possibly trick you and motivate you because of how much progress you have made in a week! haha actually, I lost 4 lbs though. It's mostly water weight I'm assuming but it's been stable at -4 lbs : Anyways I kept track

30 days of working out

First Day of JULY Today when I realized today was the first day of a new month, I told myself I could do 30 days of workouts.. dang it I didn’t work out today, but I realized there’s 31 days in July! Mustt work out tmw and not let myself skip a day I’ve been so busy, but I’m going to try posting what I eat (mostly low carb and keto diet and some moderation) and what workouts I do (strength and cardio) Day 1 (I actually didn't post) Had an exam for my online course but walked on the treadmill for fasted cardio while reading my notes. My favorite way to review notes. I feel like walking helps your mind be more awake, but maybe that's just my logic. Actually I feel really guiltless when I get to watch Netflix while on the treadmill :D I mean I'm being productive! Day 2 an hour to kill Today I had a little more than an hour to kill after an exam and before lab. My new friend asked me if I wanted to check out a taco place near campus, but today I was motivated to fit in a cardi
